This is a water that can be cruel and kind on the same day to an angler. Tricky would be the right word for the carp that live in the lake. The lake contains a decent stock of Carp to around mid-thirties and as with Bovington 2, there’s a great variation in the stock. During the February of 2018 a small stocking of VS Fisheries Carp were added to the water. These fish were between 8 & 22lb and are a mixture of linears, leathers, heavily plated mirrors etc. In addition to carp, you can find Crucian Carp, Pike, double figure Bream and plenty of silver fish.
