UPDATE - 15TH APRIL - Further to my previous message (SEE BELOW) re new members/ waiting list random draw etc. As a result of some people who were successful in the waiting list draw on the 1st April but have not taken up their offer of membership within the 2 week period we set for them to apply, we will be conducting another draw this morning at 9am where a further 30 people will be randomly selected from the waiting list by a computer programme. This will be the last draw we hold this year.  Those who are successful will immediately receive an email, as with the 1st April draw this will again with a link to enable them to join. All those who are unsuccessful will remain on our closed waiting list, which we will again use to select new members next year.

All, I thought i would again provide an update/reminder on how the New Member random draw will work on Wednesday.  This draw took place on the 1st and all members notified to the email they entered on the waiting list form. 

The random draw will take place automatically by computer at 09.30am on the 1st April. All those on the waiting list will have an equal chance of being selected, please note that we will close the waiting list to new entries at 10pm on the 31st March.
Membership renewal has been very strong, showing that members value being part of CAPS. As we are now closer to the 1st April we have a firmer idea on the number of people that have renewed and as such there will be 300 places available for new members bringing us up to our club limit. 
We appreciate that many people will unfortunately be disappointed. 
Based on the very strong new member demand, at present we have over 1100 people on the waiting list! (The list has been vetted to ensure no duplicate entries etc.) the committee has made a decision that all those who are unsuccessful this year will remain on the closed waiting list and this will be the list that we again use for the following season (2027/8). The waiting list will not reopen next year.
All those who have been successful in the draw will be sent an email at around 9.30am to the email address they put on the waiting list form. Some emails (especially hotmail address’s) might go into Spam so worth a check there just in case. 
The email will contain a unique link that once clicked will take you to an area of our website where you can choose your membership type, eg Adult, Senior Citizen, Husband and wife etc, you can include a season night ticket option if required or alternatively upgrade to this at a later date. Then enter your full details and pay for your membership. The system will check to make sure that details match, please note the links are not transferable. Once you have completed the form and payment you will be sent a confirmation of membership email which also doubles as your temp 21 day pass which will allow you to fish immediately. Once payment has been completed the system will automatically remove you from the waiting list. If you do not use the link to take up your place within 2 weeks we will assume you no longer wish to join.
You will still need to send a passport photo and self addressed envelope to the membership team who will issue you with your club card and handbook. All details including membership team address are contained in the confirmation email that you will be sent once you have joined.
