New river stretch!

29/05/2021 - Latest News

NEW WATER ALERT.....Thanks to the support of the members, we have been able to broaden our range of waters in recent years and this is continuing. Having dropped the Tendring Hall lease on the river Stour around five years ago due to stock concerns we are now confident that the stretch again offers value for money and great fishing. We have been able to secure the lease for the stretch and fishing will commence from June 16th. We have a schedule of work planned with the landowner to improve access also. Reports from last winter showed some large chub and roach in the stretch. The stretch of around 5 miles has historically been the backbone of the clubs river fishing and in our 100th year its been great to get this back on the ticket. This stretch, combined with the shared Henny stretch and the length of the Chelmer cements our commitment to offering not only leading specimen and pleasure lakes but also great river access. None of this can be achieved without the support of our members so a big thank you to all of you. More information will be provided for members on the website in due course including a new page under waters. Thanks again and look forward to hearing the catch reports!
