Location Boxted
Description

A long stretch of river with about 130 well spaced pegs. Split into three parts, sewerage works at the top end, Lattice Bridge in the middle and Boxted triangle at the lower end of the stretch. The sewerage works stretch starts off fairly fast and shallow with a few deeper pools and then evens out towards the top end which is about 12 meters wide and around 4 ft deep. This stretch holds mainly roach, dace and gudgeon, but good bream, chub and some very large perch can also be found. Carp are also sometimes spotted along here and are occasionally hooked but rarely caught or fished for.

Lattice Bridge is slightly deeper and is noted for large bream. Roach are also in an abundance as are gudgeon and dace. There is also a fair head of carp and tench with a few large pike as well. The walk to the river here is a long one as three fields have to be crossed before the river can be reached, therefore it doesn't get fished much.

Boxted triangle is much the same as Lattice Bridge but the carp and tench are rarely seen along the lower end of the stretch. There are a lot of bream in the top end of this stretch but a long walk is needed to find them.
